Job Description:
  • Providing system and component design that reduce negative impact on environment.
  • Serving as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory applicability.
  • Conducting research and technical audits on environmental impact of project, analyzing data, and performing quality control checks.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and principle of sustainability, EN ISO 14001; General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection – GAMEP, General Environmental Regulation - GER.
  • Leading the implementation of environmental policies and practices in compliance with standards.
  • Managing the development and implementation of a Construction Environmental and Social Management plans/Systems.
  • Carrying out environmental risk assessments and developing mitigation plans, considering Environmental and Social Impact Assessment. (ESIA)
  • Developing and implementing environmental strategies and Environmental and Social Management Plan and associated plans.
  • Carrying out assessments (Ambient air quality, water, soil, noise & vibration, terrestrial, archaeological) to identify, assess and reduce the project environmental risks.
  • Coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy.
  • Auditing, analyzing and reporting to internal and external partners and regulatory bodies.
  • Training staff at all levels in environmental issues and responsibilities.
  • Monitor sites and procedures to confirm that works are following environmental regulations.
  • Taking the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and services.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environment engineering.
  • Experience with Environmental management system (EMS) and Air Quality and Meteorology.
  • Experience with Solid & Hazardous Waste Management.
  • Ability to propose and deploy digital technologies/solutions and innovative ideas to enhance Environment performance.
  • Strong communication skills, planning and organization, problem solving and decision making.
  • Capable of presenting Clearly and Effectively to Senior Management.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Preferred to have membership with internationally recognized technical societies and LEED Certified.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Environmental assessments, studies, investigations, analysis, and optimization, producing detailed reports and developing sound technical analysis.
