Job Description: A professional who monitors the environment to identify, prevent, and control sources of pollution, contamination and expose public health threats. Work duties include setting up equipment to collect field data, collecting samples to evaluate pollution in the air, soil and water and monitoring pollutants from identified sources. Collect samples in the field for laboratory testing and analysis. Test and analyze samples in the laboratory to identify pollutants and contaminants and measure their effect on the environment. Operate and maintain data collection instruments and equipment for laboratory and field work. Prepare reports on laboratory results to help other stakeholders to make informed decisions. Examine business premises and public spaces/Construction site to enforce compliance with health and safety regulations. Research complaints about water quality, health quality, food safety, and other public health issues. Assess the impact of contamination of Construction site/industrial sites on the environment and public health. Comply with all regulations and company procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all team members. Comply with legal and company waste management methods, procedures, and regulations. Environmental and social performance reporting Environmental impacts from the Contractor’s activities. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, or Technician/Environmental Technology Certificate. 3+ years of experience in the environmental field. Familiar with local environmental laws of KSA and Knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Familiar with equipment such as air sampling monitors, microscopes, sound level meters, water pumps, and lead sampling kits. Preferred to have membership with internationally recognized technical societies and LEED Certified. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, research and investigative skills, and strong reading comprehension skills to understand technical documents.
